Frequently Asked Questions
Products
Can I give these as a gift?
Yes. Our prayer items make meaningful gifts for Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation, weddings, RCIA, retreats, prayer groups, and personal devotion.
How do I take care of my prayer beads?
Avoid storing them in direct sunlight for extended periods, as UV exposure can weaken the paracord over time. Keep them dry. Occasional moisture is fine, but avoid soaking or prolonged exposure to water. If they get dirty, wipe them gently with a damp cloth and allow them to air dry completely. Do not scrub or use harsh cleaning products. If necessary, use a mild organic cleaner with minimal ingredients.
Are the rosaries or prayer rope blessed?
They are not pre blessed. Many people prefer to have their rosary blessed by their local priest. If you are deployed or would like your item blessed before shipment, email us at support@battlerifle.com.
My prayer rope or beads are starting to wear. What should I do?
If you notice wear starting, send them back before the beads are lost. We can repair them.

Prayer Questions
I’m new to using prayer beads, do you provide guidance?
Every rosary includes a simple guide to help beginners learn how to pray with it. The Orthodox and Protestant beads we don't include anything.
Can I pray with a rosary or prayer rope if I'm not Catholic or Orthodox?
Yes. You do not need to belong to a specific tradition to use them. These items come from Christian traditions, but they are simply tools meant to help with prayer. What matters is the intention behind using them.
What's the difference between the Orthodox prayer beads, prayer rope, komboskini, and chotki?
They are different names for the same type of devotional tool used to count prayers. Prayer rope and prayer beads are neutral terms that most people recognize. Komboskini is the Greek term commonly used in Greek Orthodox settings. Chotki is a Slavic term used in Russian, Serbian, Ukrainian, and other Slavic Orthodox traditions.
What's the difference between a Catholic rosary, an Orthodox prayer rope, and Protestant prayer beads?
A Catholic rosary is traditionally used to meditate on the life of Jesus Christ through structured prayers and mysteries. An Orthodox prayer rope is primarily used for the Jesus Prayer through repeated short invocations. Protestant prayer beads are used by some Christians as a structured aid for scripture based or personal prayer. Each serves the same purpose of helping believers slow down, focus, and pray with intention.
